Sussex wins 2018 SEG Seniors League Final

Sussex wins 2018 SEG Seniors League Final

The players from Sussex and BB&O Seniors’ Teams met at Ferndown GC on Tuesday 16th October 2018 for the final of the Seniors League.

The course was in excellent condition and allowed for a fine display of golfing talent during the day. The final is played over 10 games of singles matchplay. The first point on the scoreboard went to BB&O in unfortunate circumstances as one of the Sussex players was taken ill and had to retire. This was not to set the tone for the day, however. The Sussex Team has been in very good form this year and qualified for the national County Final – finishing second. They had also already won the Southern Counties Seniors Foursomes. Winning all but two of the remaining nine games saw them to victory. Another fine performance for the Sussex Seniors Team.
