Surrey wins 2018 Junior Foursomes

Surrey wins 2018 Junior Foursomes

Teams from seven of the eleven SEG counties assembled at Royal Norwich Golf Club on Thursday 16th August 2018 to play in the Junior Foursomes competition.

This is a 36 hole foursomes strokeplay event with each team comprising four pairs. The best three scores, morning and afternoon, go to make up the team score. The course was very well presented but the weather was rather less agreeable than it might have been. Quite a lot of rain fell during the day and at times a couple of the greens suffered but we managed to complete the 36 holes without difficulty.

Winners on the day were the team from Surrey who beat Essex by just one stroke.

The Surrey players were:

Ben Kelly & Barnes Wallis, David Gurr & Killian McGinley, Tommy Noel & Bailey Osborne, Harry Crockett & Ben Partridge and they are pictured below with their team managers, the Captain of Royal Norwich Golf Club and Mike Rees (SEG President).
