SEG Junior Championship 2023

The SEG Junior Championship was held at Thorpe Hall GC on 31st May.

The weather was fine but windy which combined with a very well prepared golf course,, meant that scoring was difficult for the 72 competitors. The day saw only two rounds of level par, one by Thorpe Hall member Maximus Maddocks in the morning and the other by the eventual winner, Oliver George of Worplesdon GC. Oliver’s par in the afternoon came after a morning round of 76 which left him in 12th place at the halfway mark.

The U16 Winner was Charlie Rusbridge of Colne Valley GC and the U14 Winner was Alfie Dorrington of  Orsett GC. Full results can be found Here.
