Essex retains SEG County League title

Essex retains SEG County League title

Having both won their respective leagues with a 100% record – also having the same number of games won – the teams from Essex and Surrey met at Letchworth GC on Sunday 2nd October to decide who would win the SEG County League Trophy.

A close match was expected given the strength that both teams had shown in getting to the final and that is exactly what was served up by two excellent teams. Some fine golf was played in a great spirit and Essex proved just too much for the Surrey team, winning 7-5, to retain the trophy.
