BB&O wins 2019 County League Final

BB&O wins 2019 County League Final

Having won their respective leagues, teams from BB&O and Surrey met in the Final at The Millbrook Golf Club in Bedfordshire on Sunday 6th October 2019.

After significant rainfall during the night before the Final, the weather was better than might have been expected although the wind was present and increasing in strength all day. BB&O got off to a great start and led by 2.5 to 1.5 after the morning foursomes.  Six of the eight singles matches in the afternoon went to the seventeenth hole or further which shows how close the two teams were. The afternoon finished 4 – 4 meaning that BB&O won by 6.5 to 5.5.

As usual the match was played in excellent spirit.

Congratulations to the BB&O team (Olly Huggins, Rory Browne, Jack Haines, James Brockington, Adam Birdseye, Aaron Ashberry, Tom Lawson & Kevin Freeman) pictured below with their Manager, Simon Hopkins and erstwhile team-mate David Langley.
