The SEG Junior Championship was held at Hockley GC on 29th May 2024.

The event was oversubscribed as usual so a full field assembled at Hockley to compete for the trophy on a quite windy day that thankfully saw no rain. The golf course was exceptionally well prepared and showed no signs of the previous day’s rain.

Only seven players scored par or better over the 36 holes with Jack Swift (North Foreland) coming out on top by two strokes with a superb 137 total (5 under par). AJ Van Emmenis (Cuddington) is the U14 Champion and Harry Weatherhead (Burhill) the U16 Champion.

This is the second time that Jack has won the trophy – Luke Donald only managed one win!

Jack is pictured below with Martin Gill (Captain of Hockley GC) and Mike Devlin (President of SEG).

Full results of the competition can be found here.
